Hello & thank you for visiting my site!

I have always had a hard time talking about myself... so, things like that yearly professional self evaluation task your employer gives has never been easy for me, but here goes:  :)
I was born and raised in Washington D.C. most of my life and also resided in the state of Maryland for a short period of my childhood years. I am now, and have been for about 15 years now, a Proud Virginia resident (Don't worry, I travel).
Besides family, some of my favorite things are: Photography (duh!), the beach, a good book (not digital, an actual page flipping read, lol), loose leaf tea, music, DANCE (pretty much all genres (ballroom dancing is on my to do list)), poetry, learning new things (research is kind of my thing), GOOD FOOD!, [pretty much all things crafty and artsy.
Photography is a passion of mine for many reasons! There are so many moments from my own childhood and my children's childhood that I wish I had captured. One of my life's joys is being able to provide families with tangible memories, something that will never fade and won't just be a fuzzy mental recollection, something you can always look back on and remember in detail. When I am feeling nostalgic one of the best feelings in the world is having the ability to sit down, touch, see and feel the precious memories I did think to capture of my family over the years.
What is my photography/editing style? I am pretty versatile in my photography/editing style. Personally, I like variety. I also feel that some photos have their own mood and should be edited as such. I aim to provide my clients with both traditional and artistic options to choose from. With that being said, I always ask my client what look/style they are going for and aim to supply them with a final look within that realm... with a few special edits sprinkled in there....
